Strange Growth Under Cap of Protein Mix

I opened the top to my protein mix the other day and found this:

It appears to be some sort of bacterial or fungal growth pattern as if the microbes turned the cap into a Petri dish.

The protein mix didn’t have probiotics in the ingredients and didn’t even have sugar.
